The 124th Maine Legislature has convened, and bills are starting to trickle in. Kathi Kearney is monitoring them as they are posted; so far she's read 181 of them. As there are usually about 3000 of them all together, let's be sure to pray for her: for sharp eyes, wisdom, and discernment.

Maine's Truant Law has changed! Be sure you get your paperwork in on time. Letter of intent must be submitted to the state and your local administrative unit within 10 days of beginning to home school. If you are submitting a subsequent year letter, that needs to be submitted by September 1st.
